PRIORITIZATION OF VOIP TRAFFIC IN THE NETWORK Print

  • 369

When different services are running on a network, this can impact the performance of an application that needs more or dedicated bandwidth like VoIP traffic.

For the best quality of service (QoS), prioritization is required for data traffic for applications that are sensitive to network delays, this will improve performance and maintaining QoS so as to eliminate worries about dropped calls, latency or jitters.

VoIP ports that should be enabled on QoS:

For Cloud One SIP Trunk

Application Port Port Type
RTP 6000-20000 UDP

For Cloud One Hosted 3CX PBX

Application Port Port type
SIP 5060 UDP/TCP
Tunneling 5090 UDP
RTP 9000-10999 UDP

For Hosted/Managed on Premis Yeastar PBX

Application Port Port Type
SIP 5060 UDP/TCP
Linkus 8111 UDP
RTP 10000-12000 UDP
